John E. (J Bird) Smith-age 67 of Luttrell passed away Saturday morning, March 2, 2019 at his home. He was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, J. P. and Dorothy (Tharp) Smith; brother, Don Smith; grandparents, Ernest and Pearl Tharp, Charlie and Ella Smith.

The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Monday, March 4, 2019 with funeral service to follow at 8 P.M., Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Jerry Tharp, Rev. Randy Beeler officiating with music by Shawn Wynn and the Union Church Singers. Interment 2 P.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Sharp Cemetery, Highway 370, Luttrell. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 1 P.M. to go in the funeral procession.
