Obituary for John E. "J Bird" Smith
John E. (J Bird) Smith-age 67 of Luttrell passed away Saturday morning, March 2, 2019 at his home. He was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, J. P. and Dorothy (Tharp) Smith; brother, Don Smith; grandparents, Ernest and Pearl Tharp, Charlie and Ella Smith.
Survivors: wife, Donna(Simmons) Smith, Luttrell; daughter, SherrI Smith (Larry) of Andersonville; step-sons, John Boy Turner (Crystal) of Jefferson City; Charlie Turner and Kevin Turner; special granddaughter, Trinity Turner; step-grandchildren, John, Emma, MaKayla, Braden and Brandon Turner; sisters and husbands, Louella and Frankie Waskom, Luttrell; Kay and Jack Wyrick, Luttrell; Shirley and Cliff Nelson, Knoxville; Clara Tolliver and the late Dewayne Tolliver, Maynardville; Judy Riell, Luttrell; brothers and wives, Mack and Lodene Smith, Luttrell; E. Randy Beeler officiating with music by Shawn Wynn and the Union Church Singers. Interment 2 P.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Sharp Cemetery, Highway 370, Luttrell. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 1 P.M. to go in the funeral procession.
