Obituary for Johnny Ray Hedge Sr.
Johnny Ray Hedge, Sr.-age 72 of Washburn passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 of natural causes. Johnny was born November 21, 1946 in Bridgeport, Illinois the son of the late Edgar and Elizabeth Hedge. He married Brenda Joyce Chancellor Hedge twice (1964/1981). Johnny was a longtime employee of Hammond Lead Products in Hammond, Indiana until he retired in 1997 due to health reasons. Johnny moved from Gary, Indiana to Fort Gibson, Oklahoma in 2000. Johnny moved to Washburn, TN in 2005. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James (Bud) and Brenda Hedge.
Johnny is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Eddie Wolfenbarger of Washburn; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Ray, Jr. and Glenda Hedge of Washburn; son and daughter-in-law, Jesse and Pamela Hedge of Richmond, Kentucky; son, Eric Z. Hedge of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; daughter, Amber Conner of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Johnny has 12 grandchildren, Douglas Hedge of Washburn; Eric J., Bethany and Johnna Hedge of Washburn; Sean Hedge of Boise, Idaho; Nicole and Jaikob Ellison of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; Alexander Z. and Trevor Hedge of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; Seth Brown, Cayce Holt, Emma Conner and Dylan Conner of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Johnny has two great-grandchildren, Jase and Boone Ellison of Dry Ridge, Kentucky. Johnny has four siblings, Beatrice, Edna, Edgar and James. Numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Central View American Christian Church, Washburn, with funeral service to follow at 8 P.M. Thursday, Rev. Doyle Wolfenbarger officiating with music by Ruby Wolfenbarger. Interment 10 A.M. Friday, August 23, 2019, Coffman Cemetery, Washburn. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:45 A.M. Friday. Pallbearers: Family. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
