Miss Shelton was a fantastic teacher and a great lady. I hadn’t seen her in years, but I’ve thought of her often. She taught me to type with both high speed and great accuracy — a skill I use every single day. Thank you, Miss Shelton, for making a lasting impression on my life.

She taught typing, bookkeeping, short hand at Washburn High School for years, one of the calmest teachers I have ever met. I learned a lot from her that has benefited me throughout my life.
